Sugar and Charm tells us how to do it from sugar, citrus or other flavors like lavender and vanilla, a glass container with closure and a cord that binds the element used inside.
Squeeze the desired fruit over sugar and let sit and dry overnight. Then mix layers of zest and sugar to fill the container, which will be decorated over with more zest to add more color. Decorate it with a ribbon and half a slice of citrus.
For optimum flavor, it is advisable to prepare them a week before being given away.
