Rustic vases made with twine for weddings

Rustic vases made with twine for weddings

These rustic vases made with rope or string of natural fibers can easily give you that marine or country touch that your table requires.
I think that the best DIY ideas are also the simplest ones. If to make a craft I have to buy too many materials, I prefer to buy things made.

This simple vase made with nautical string is an elegant solution to decorate those boring glass vases. I love how the final result looks great and adds a rustic and marine twist to the table, and combines perfectly with these string letters. I tell you how I did them.

materials
A circular glass vase.
Several meters of rope or string of natural fiber.
A hot melt glue gun
Hot melt bars and strong scissors.
Instructions for preparation
Clean the outside of the vase so there is no residue, dust or grease. Turn it over the table so that the opening is facing down.
Using the glue gun, secure the end of the rope to the side of the base.
Start winding the rope around the vase and glue it as you go. One glue point every 5 centimeters will be enough to hold it in place.
Make sure to keep the tension for 10 seconds after sticking each turn so that the glue hardens.
When you get to the top of the vase, cut the excess rope (I used gardening scissors for this, since it was quite thick) and stick the final piece.
NOTE: If after the event you decide to reuse the vase, you only have to use a hair dryer for a few minutes to warm and soften the glue.
